Center Services The Center serves the Guilford-Jessup community. The program operates from 10am to 4pm daily. Transportation is provided to and from the program site in vans equipped to accomodate wheelchair-bound passengers. A hot lunch, plus morning and afternoon snacks are served.
			Each program day provides a structured sequence of activities designed to meet the needs, preferences, and abilities of older adults in need of assistance with two or more "activities of daily living". Elders eligible for Center services may enroll for regular two or three day-per-week participation, based on assessments completed during the application process. Occasional "respite" care is also available to pre-registered individuals on a stand-by basis.

		Benefits of program participation include: ~ Access to the Center's medications and nutritional consultants ~ Regular monitoring of condition, progess, and needs ~ Registered nurse onsite through program day ~ Monthly field trips to interesting places and events ~ Caregiver counseling and support ~ Assistance in locating and securing other available resources as needed. ~ Oversight of medications, rehabilitation, or other ongoing treatment strategies as needed, in cooperation with primary caregivers and physicians. ~ A regular schedule of activities each program day which offers opportunities for mental and physical exercise, verbal and creative expression, large-and-small-group interaction, rest periods, and individual attention.
